One thing you can do to kinda cheat is press the L key to change the highest numbers generated for parts of the equations. Changes to this setting have no effect on scoring!

One tip I have for Googolpede is that if the letter you need to hit is right next to a wall, head at it straight on, rather than hugging the wall. This way, once you hit the letter, you can queue up your next move and be guaranteed to not hit the wall. If you try to hug the wall, you could very well hit it in the attempt!
